About The Role

We’re looking for a Fibre Optics Technician who can hit the ground running within a fast-paced environment.

You’ll be part of our Track Systems team, helping commission and operate our “fibre optic backbone” at a number of Grand Prix events around the world and at our Remote Operations Centre in Biggin Hill.

The team are responsible for our CCR (Circuit Communication Ring) connecting and maintaining this large temporary fibre optic network and related transmission equipment for the transport of broadcast and IP.

About You

About you

You’re enthusiastic, eager to learn and enjoy getting stuck in, with an aptitude to fault finding using optical, video and IP networking tools.

You’ll have:

Hands on experience of testing, installing and terminating fibre optic systems

Understanding of TCP/IP Ethernet networks and configuring LAN networks

Experience of installation, wiring, configuring and troubleshooting of Technical Systems

Proven experience and understanding of technical wiring diagrams

The willingness to work long, unsociable hours both in the UK and overseas
