Purpose of Role: Manage the measurement, reporting and insight generation for McLaren Racing and its partners, focusing on the performance of the brand and commercial value driven through digital and social channels.
Principal Accountabilities:
Capture, manage and report on all activity relating to the McLaren Racing digital, social media and CRM channels, focusing on the performance of the brand and commercial value driven through digital and social media
Storytelling with data from various sources, detailing analysis across channels – looking to web analytics/social trends, social listening, sentiment scoring, traffic, and other key drivers of performance, as well as building out fan/customer touch points and key tensions
Create benchmarking reports against competitor performance including engagements and follower growth
Support McLaren’s Partnership Development and Strategy teams via regular and ad-hoc reporting on audience growth, channel performance, audience insight, performance benchmarking and earned media valuations, delivering competitive advantage in new business proposals
Collaborate with McLaren’s research agency to derive insights from target markets
Manage third party agencies to ensure effective capture and management of data for both regular and ad-hoc reporting
Collaborate with McLaren’s Strategy team to align data and insights to overarching market research and audience segmentation profiling
Provide support to online marketing campaigns, liaising with the digital marketing agency to optimise campaign performance through data analysis
Implement a regular reporting schedule for McLaren’s Digital & Social, Partnership Development, Partnership Activation and Executive teams. Includes monthly, quarterly, annual and ad-hoc reporting against defined processes, schedules and rights.
Support database reporting through the marketing cloud solution, focusing on campaign performance and exposing trends to help optimise growth of the fan universe
Manage the use of the digital reporting toolkit, ensuring data technologies align to business needs and budget
Provide support to online marketing campaigns, liaising with the digital marketing agency to optimise campaign performance through data analysis
Knowledge, Skills and Experience:
Excellent use of Microsoft Excel and third-party data management tools
Excellent knowledge of Google Analytics
Comprehensive understanding of native and third-party social media monitoring, performance tools and social listening
Experience in a similar role, with evidence of supporting web team or management with regular reporting
Degree educated or equivalent qualification in a relevant discipline
Experience working in a real-time, reactive digital environment
Knowledge of basic digital and social media content marketing principles
Experience working on projects related to sports marketing or retail brands
Data visualisation experience
Experience setting KPIs across platforms and business objectives
Knowledge of strategic research planning
Content performance and optimisation across social and digital channels
In tune with current digital and social media trends and strategies, honing data analytics skills to the respective environments
