Your role
Working in the Broadcast function of the Media Team, you will manage and integrate the broadcast operation at multiple Formula E race events and oversee production management for the department. You will be a key link between host broadcaster and Formula E event staff, both on event and in the office during planning stages.
What you will be doing
Supporting the Senior Broadcast Operations Manager in the delivery of all Formula E race events
Overseeing day-to-day broadcast production management, including Formula E's Broadcast suppliers
Leading on the delivery of the broadcast operation at several key Formula E races and events in the season
Working closely with the Formula E host broadcaster to integrate and support a large OB and international crew
Supporting the delivery of broadcast related projects for Formula E broadcasters and partners
Overseeing workflow and delivery schedules to ensure delivery of contractual obligations
Managing budgets and obtaining quotes from suppliers.
Operational Planning
Operational liaison between Formula E events team and Formula E's Host Broadcaster. Planning for onsite filming activities and integrating broadcast technical specifications into the event build
Production Management
Look after day-to-day production management between the Formula E broadcast team & all suppliers. Supervise all race planning and operations ranging from content production plans, to logistics and budget management
Broadcast Event Management
Adaptable when at events to support the broadcast team by managing the TV compound, supporting production crews, live floor managing and problem solving under pressure
Project Management
Confidently represent the FE broadcast team at large-scale planning meetings and have the organisational skills to oversee multiple projects and race events at different stages of delivery
Oversee the delivery of special filming projects helping with integration into event, scheduling and production support services
Manage Production Administration
Build delivery schedules for events ensuring that the broadcast suppliers align with all interdependent departments
Collate, check and distribute all race related information including satellite and fibre details, running orders, scripts and editorial guidelines
Raise purchase orders, build presentations, and compile debriefs and reports as required.
What we are looking for
This role is within a small, highly engaged and growing team. You will excellent interpersonal skills, a proactive and collaborative mindset, problem solving attitude, willingness to adapt in an ever-changing environment to multiple tasks, attention to detail and a desire to learn.
A minimum of 6 years' experience in the broadcast industry
Able to deliver a large-scale broadcast product
Excellent knowledge of a complex broadcast operation with proven experience of employing technical and operational skills to problem solve
Strong organisational skills in television production and project management including overseeing budgets and large multi-skilled crews from engineering to creative
Industry knowledge of broadcast technology, distribution and content platforms, including satellite and fibre transmission is a bonus
Excellent spoken and written English, additional languages beneficial
Be excited about global travel and working on Formula E events around the world.
